Boulder Conversations with Marc Bekoff

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday June 14

5:30 PM  –  7:30 PM

June's speaker is Marc Bekoff, a behavioral ecologist specializing in the behavior of dogs and their wild cousins and professor emeritus at CU-Boulder where he taught courses in animal behavior for more than 30 years. Marc has studied Adélie penguins in Antarctica, wild coyotes in the Grand Teton National Park, Steller's jays and Western Evening Grosbeaks in the foothills, and dogs in Nederland and at various hiking trails and dog parks around Boulder.

Marc will be discussing his new book, Canine Confidential: Why Dogs Do What They Do, as well as his other research and passion for cycling (in 1986 he won his age-class at the Tour du Haut Var bicycle race, often called the Master's Tour de France). He continues to pedal as a member of the Boulder Centre for Orthopedics Cycling Team.
